The Practitioner certification aims to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding to apply and tailor the method in a range of different project environments and scenarios.

What are the prerequisites?

PRINCE2 Foundation training is a prerequisite to attend PRINCE2 Practitioner training session. To take the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination you must provide proof of having passed one of the following:


  • PRINCE2® 6th Edition (Foundation or Practitioner)
  • PRINCE2® 7 Foundation
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
  • Project Professional Qualification (PPQ)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)®
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • IPMA Level A® (Certified Projects Director)
  • IPMA Level B® (Certified Senior Project Manager)
  • IPMA Level C® (Certified Project Manager)
  • IPMA Level D® (Certified Project Management Associate)

Certification Examination

Certification examination voucher is part of this training course. Candidates can schedule online web-proctored examination on any suitable day and time at their own convenience, within 12 months.

Examination Fromat

  • Objective testing
  • 70 questions per paper
  • 42 marks or more required to pass: 60%
  • Two-and-a-half hours’ (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time
  • Open book. Candidates are permitted to use the official printed hard copy of the “Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 7”.
